Meet Lou

 

Lou Lyons

Lou is a seasoned security professional who has lead government IT and Security programs for the Department of Veterans Affairs; Department of Transportation/National Highway Transportation Safety Administration; the Department of the Air Force and the Department of the Army.

He has led Global Security programs in the commercial world as the Manager, Information Security Operations, Sr. Manager, Global Information Security and the Director, IT Security & Compliance in Ohio. He is a retired Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air force who worked as an IT Manager, Computer Security Officer, Director of Quality Assurance and Logistics Support, Avionics Maintenance Manager & Airborne Systems Engineer (ASE) Trainer/Examiner in Electronic Warfare, Intel & IT.

He has experience in IT & Security Strategy, IT & Security Operations, Data Center Management, Policy & Compliance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Building a program from the ground up, Identity & Access Management (IAM) and ERP Security.  

Lou earned his MBA in Information Security Management - Cyber Security from Jones International University and his BS in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland University College.  He is currently the Vice-President for the Cloud Security Alliance, Ohio River Valley Chapter.  

He supports the community by participating as a volunteer with the Ohio Royal Family Kids camp and as a Ranger Commander with his local church.  His certifications include: CISSP, PMP, MCSE, MCDBA, A+, Net+, Security+ and certifications from the Department of the Army and Department of Veterans Affairs.
