Meet Joe
Joe Miner
Joe Miner has spent his career in a variety of roles, including Manufacturing, IT, Supplier Governance, Business Continuity, and Internal Audit. These roles have enabled Joe to develop a unique skill set in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) space. Joe has been a BCP Professional for 25 years, implementing and deploying BCP Plans across the world. Crisis Management and Disaster Recovery also became focus areas, as well as leading a Private Public Partnership in the Greater Cincinnati Area with the Department of Homeland Defense. Joe is a frequent presenter at local and national Resilience and Information Security Conferences. Joe holds both MBCP and MBCI certifications. Joe is also an experienced IT Auditor, with audit skills in the following areas: Information Security, IT Governance, IT Asset Management, Privacy, Business Continuity, IT Disaster Recovery, and Regulated Systems. Joe’s audit certifications include the Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), the CISSP, and ISO 22301 Senior Lead Auditor for Business Continuity.
At ReynCon Security, Joe has been helping companies develop and implement Information Security Programs using ISO 27001, as well as update necessary information security controls. Joe has also helped companies implement and update BCP Programs using ISO 22301 while providing both basic and complex BCP exercises. Finally, with the ongoing threat of Ransomware and hacking, Joe has developed and led multiple Ransomware exercises for IT and Executive Teams. Joe’s overall approach is to simplify the complexities of GRC by focusing on what truly matters, while meeting the intent behind Standards and Frameworks without unnecessary complication.
In Joe’s spare time, he spends as much time as possible with his three granddaughters, plays French Horn in the Southwestern Ohio Symphonic Band, and is highly focused on breaking 70 on a golf course soon.
